    viewing wmp movies

    Hi all, just wondered if there is any way to view a film when downloaded from p2p when it asks for a liscense on windows media player apart from having to buy one cause im a tight arse.

    Hmmm, first off the mods will probably lock this due to rule 6.

    But, I could help you if it was a Windows Media Audio file, but for videos I am not sure... maybe try something like Ulead Video Studio and see if it will load it as a project, if it does just save it as an AVI.

      The only way to remove DRM from wmv files if if you have the license. Then you can create a regular wmv file that doesn't require a license.

        steveyeng26: please see forum rule 6 regarding talking about movies downloaded from P2P, and also bypassing DRM licensing. From what I know, lots of these P2P files that require licenses are bogus (requiring you to pay to a website to get the license, and then only to find out the file isn't what you wanted).
