How to...?

I was just sent a band video - needed to get an actual DVD to someone quickly - and it was posted in two parts.

1. a soundless .m2v file

2. an .aif file

Thougth I was getting a simple mpeg2!! What do I do with these to make a proper DVD?

aif files are Mac audio files. I don't have much familiarity with Mac's myself and I haven't worked with .aif files. But, PC software like Audacity should be able to load the .aif file and export it as a .wav file.

Once you've gotten that far then you are all set. use software like ffmpegGUI to encode the .wav file to .ac3. (BeSweet is also good for this but takes a little time to get used to). ffmpegGUI might be easier to use the first time through.

Then use Muxman to mux your .m2v and .ac3 together into new DVD files to burn.
