    someone please help me...about my divx...?

    see i have a problem,
    i don't know if its possible or not,
    but if you can help me i would really appreciated,
    see what i need is...
    i downloaded a movie from Kazaa,
    and the movie is in divx format,
    and i want to know if there is a way that i can burn it onto a cd
    in order for the movie to play in my DVD player,
    by the way the movie that i downloaded was "The Lord of the Rings"...

    If both the video and audio formats are acceptable, the simplest approach would be to let the latest version of N.E.R.O. BurningRom both create and burn MPEG1-VideoCDs for you.

    If that doesn't work for you, post back here for further analysis...

      i have another problem though..

      see i have another problem,
      the movie totally is likge 1.4GB
      which is a lot...
      how can i make that fit into a cd if its too big,
      is there a program which can make the file smaller,
      please, if you can help me respond to this...

        1) You want to convert the DivX-compressed .AVI to MPEG1-VideoCD format, in order to (possibly) play it on a standalone DVD player. VCDs are based on TIME (just like music CDs) not filelength

        2) Depending on the capacity of the CD-R, you can fit anywhere from 60-80 minutes of video (with sound) on one VCD. Therefore, you'll need more than one CD-R for LOTR, which is significantly longer than 80 minutes...
