JVC GR-D33U no video???

I have a JVC DV camcorder that is only 1 1/2 yrs old. For some reason I am all of the sudden getting no video?? When I look at the screen as soon as turned on it says remove lens cap, but the lens cap is already off the picture is just black. I've tried everything I can think of like changing batteries, changing tapes, etc... Any one have any ideas what the problem may be even if it's something that must be sent to a repair shop? Or could someone give me a website or place that may be able to help me w/ this further?

I have the same problems, but the JVC Camrecorder models is GR-D33UA. It's the same case?
