Who is the most bloated, Nero or HP?

I am not saying necessary or unnecessary here. Straight question for those that have them or have used them. I have Nero 6 Ultra fully updated & have always thought it bloated. I have an HP PSC 1401 printer & I think with everything that goes along with it plus updates, I could be using over a gig of space. Haven't fully figured out Nero yet but I am leaning towards HP to hand "The Bloaty" to.

My vote would go to Nero but I do believe the WINDOZES demands to be # 1 with all of the friggin updates etc>

      @ Soup

I understand what you mean. When I first was gave this computer I had never heard of Nero. I thought it was tricky to figure, then I bought an HP 1410 PSC, more that likely the same software as you, and I still haven't mastered all the features. Seems like overkill.

Have you figured out how to get it out of the taskbar, or not to load up on startup?

I agree with your vote however.

Not to load at startup, run msconfig and turn it off under the startup tab.

@ burrell84601 I have about 2 or 3 programs that I could use to stop it at startup but I just gave up & let it go. Caused to many problems before besides I just did an uninstall & a complete re-install yesterday.

@ copyless. Did it, works great. I can't believe how much was loading I did not need at startup.

@soup. I appreciate the thought. I can't believe the install. Seems like forever in comparison to any other printer I have owned. At least it does the job well.

            Thanks Again

@ burrell Yes it sure isn't any express install that's for sure.

No problem, you are very welcome, glad I could help.

There are a few programs that will reload themselves into the startup menu when you reboot your computer. The biggest trouble causer is msnm, if you have this and turned it off using msconfig, it will just reload itself until you click on it in the taskbar and go to settings and turn off all the options.
