Resolution for in store promotional video

I need to produce a video for a consumer electronics chain. They want to run it from a computer connected to several monitors rather than from a DVD on televisions.

I am not sure what resolution would be best to create this video with.

    Can anyone offer a suggestion?

The "source" is me so that doesn't really answer my question.

the "source" is the source material, eg the res of the camera. as high as possible, or as high as the pc can handle

I won't be shooting anything. It will be created by me using After Effects, text and some high resolution photos.
