Anyone knows anything about ".mad" files used by some dvr's? I'm starting to get angry about what some of manufacturers do with dvr's file formats. According to gSpot those files are just mpeg4 but they are strangely coded that I is really hard to convert them into some more user friendly format. And those players... they are a joke - unstable and poorly done - there is a codec attached to the player but I don't know if it is of any use apart from this "player". I got Any Video Converter, K-lite codec pack and usually there was no problem with converting anything to anything. Till now... Does anyone know what codecs on this planet are needed to convert .mad files from chineese stand-alone dvr AX 6516 into plain old avi/mpeg4... whatever... ? Maybe ffmpeg will do the trick?
