    DVDs Locking Up

    Hello,
My DVDs have lock-up problems if the DVDs are 6mo old or older.

The lock-up problem is best described as the DVD picture momentarily freezing after about 30minues of play. The DVD continues to momentarily stop and then finally stops on the last scene.

I've tried different DVDs (-R,+R) manufacturers and DVD burners. All have the lock-up problem. I use Nero Burner but the problem has occured with my previous burner

An acquaintance tells me this is an aging process for burned DVDs in which they fail after 6mo.

    Can you help me?

I would check them in other players, to make sure your player is OK.

Have you tried verbatim or sony disks? I have burns that are 2-3 years old that play fine
