      Mr

No, I didn't realize it would suck so bad, just for doing the basic stuff I do...no gaming, just intense DVD copying. I can pull the sound blaster live card from the old one, and maybe the ati 64 rage, but i was planning on leaving it in there maybe to do some DVR work with on my satellite. If I pull it, I've pretty much rebuilt my old PC in a dell box.

Do you think the vid card is why I get so bogged down on burning? I wouldnt have thought anything video intensive was happening, I don't show frames when I am rendering.

probably not hurting it too bad, you did a clean install and the computers were running the same OS?

Sure dma is on and jumpers set right on drives?

          Dma is on "if available"

Not sure about the drives' jumpers. I set the DVDRW to slave when I stuck it in, cause I assumed the Dell CDRW is a master. Couldnt see what the dell was set to but I assumed mine wouldnt run if it was wrong.
