am very new to Premiere Elements 2.0, and I am having a tough time capturing video. I bought an external hard drive to store video files. The external drive has a USB 2.0 port and two firewire ports. My computer has a USB 2.0 port as well. The computer itself does not have a firewire port.
My question is...can I capture video directly to the external hard drive using a firewire cable connecting the external hard drive and my camcorder?
I was hoping to avoid having to put in a firewire card into my computer and was wondering if the scenario I have described can be done. If it can be done and anyone has a setup suggestion, it would be appreciated!
