hey chewy. yes both burners are doing it. i also have a desktop and i use the same media, same movie and same software and everything goes fine. so i can't be the disc, i'm not just talking about one disc, many discs. and again i go to the desktop under the same conditionos and again not problem.

the desktop does fine with the same disc, same movie and same software. i have tried different software with both computers with the same results, dell burn=pixelation, desktop(emachine)=not problem.

the compression applied is not that high, 27% compression. even with the great nero recode2 i had pixelation yesterday and with very little compression.

                  what burning software?

use nero infotool and just save the "drive" part and post(with usb burner also plugged in)

my hunch is that those 2 burners don't like a change in a mid code?

well, today i unpluged the external one and burn nip/tuck season 3 disc e disc, 27% compression on 1clickdvd and the problem was the same, pixelation to no end.

i have a E-machine celeron 2.5 RAM which i bought refurbished for $299. this little thing has never given me a problem. i spent $800 on a dell that is only three month old and i have nothing but problems.

note to myself: don't buy expensive again, it is not worthy. much less if it is dell.

CAN I HAVE MY MONEY BACK! guess not. ah?

thank you very much chewy. you are the best.
