Tv To Pc

Sorry if this is the wrong section to post but wasn't sure.

I like to record occassional PPV from DirecTV but only have a VHS recorder hooked to my TV and a DVD player.

I want to be able to record PPV events to my HDD ---> then to DVD .

I have dvd burner but no Video-in card.

I do not want to watch TV on my computer just capture it and burner it. Thus, nor do I care about remote controls etc.

Any reccomandations for hardware?
I have 2 gigs ram
AMD 3800+ X2
Win XP Pro
PCI available

I have been looking at something <$60.

Hi!

Might be better to just buy a stand-alone DVD recorder. They are inexpensive and keeps headaches to a minimum.
