Divx 3.11 alpha is available at divx-digest.com/software

WMP 6.4 is in Windows 98 by default, if you can't find it do a search for mplayer2.exe I think

I had to ....load & install the3.11 & 4.12 again this PM.Cause still had that X5. Got it done but my daughter was helping me and now the Media Player 2 is gone. But got

help please, I have successfully downloaded a avi converted to mpeg and burned to a cd and watched the movie on my DVD player (thanks satarip) now I just downloaded a "divx movie" do I need to convert it to a mpeg like before? or just burn as a vcd and play in DVD player. Thanks for any feed back.

yes i looked & had to ....load it again. But i got it. Read the
readme text also. BUT it still won't work for me. I looked on my com. last PM. and it has not got disk compression. Also i some how with some help cause the Mplayer 2 got lost by a wrong click.
Tried to recapture it but it's gone .. So i tryed to find a re....load for it but no success. Then i tried the test for all the things i need & it worked ; but when i did the test on this site to watch the trailers the sound came on but no pic.... Ithink the BIGGEST problem is the compression not there & the loss of MP2.The problem with trying to get back the MP2 is i don't have a disk for my Windows. If you can think of a site to ....load WMP6.4 it might solve the problem. tell me if it would be safe to give you my

Nowhere did I read that you have installed the codecs in there. Or does load mean install to you? I may have missed this one, but anyway, have you got Windows Media Player 7 installed? If not, you can do so and the installation will load up various codecs that you are probably missing. In addition, you could try any of the freely available players out there, like The Playa and PowerDivX. They will substitute the presumably missing WMP6.4 (mplayer.exe) well.

The whole thing really sounds bad to me, though it's because I'm looking at it from your point of view. Is there anyway you can get a computer-literate friend to have a look at your system and ask him/her whether your system should get a reformat or a simple "house-keeping" will do so that you can start watching your movies. Cheers!

i have all that is needed. i have installed all of it. have the playa
installed to. Setarip gave me a site to go to but its time to
