VLC error when loading subtitle for .avi..

this is from a dvd i ripped.. dvd to avi with the subtitle but it won't load?

yeah i do now. what's the idx. index?

ohhh i see, need the idx file! - how come i never needed it for other movies? there wasn't any error other times without the idx.

VOBSub's use a sub and an idx file. There is also a text format (microdvd) using .sub. With VOBSub's the sub contains the bitmaps and the idx contains the timings, etc. You need both.
