Say I copied a WMP file (SFMode.ASF) from a UK newspaper site's link (about Bin Laden)...
actually opens "two" WMP windows at/from
..and suspicious as we need to be, I scanned the file and it listed as "two" files, not "one" as I expected.
The video is posted as containing no audio and has freeze framing going on and is obviously an edited version of the original, but why two files and why can't I find this second file on my OS ?
My AV scanner results tell me the files are named SFMode [1].ASF and SFMode[1].ASF:Zone.Identifier, but I'm not finding the 'identifier' file when searching my OS.
Of note also, the file played is listed in the WMP player as "AlFitr1-5.wmv" and more interestingly, when I close the player, I'm met with another already opened WMP player window, again displaying the same video file.
Clened out my temp file, re-named the vid and still my AV scan lists the vid file as "two" files! Likely the identifier is simply a result of it having the file's properties that (usually nobody fills these out and as this file's properties list details on the video, this's why I'm seeing a scan result for an identifier file?).
If not, weird-o-rama.
