AVI files propertis problem

    AVI files propertis problem

    Hy!
    I have problem with avi files. When I click on propertis it shows me this

    Does anybody know how to fix this?

    have xvid codec installed?

        that will play it, but not sure if it will give you those properties. if you want to see what the file has try virtualdubmod, gspot, mediainfo.....

        it's likely xvid with MPEG Layer-3 audio....

                  I installed FFDSHOW codec when I was installing windows, that was mounts ago.
                  I had the same problem about a year ago, I fixed with puting this
                  REGSVR32 /U SHMEDIA.DLL and REGSVR32 SHMEDIA.DLL, but with some reason it doesn't work this time.

                    i use the xvid codec instead myself>never had that propblem unless it wasn't installed. have you tried a system restore to when it was ok?

                        REGSVR32 /U SHMEDIA.DLL and REGSVR32 SHMEDIA.DLL, but with some reason it doesn't work this time.
                        my guess is the registry entry that loads shmedia.dll in explorer has been deleted/modified. just use g-spot or mediainfo till your next clean install, and in the future you might want to keep system restore enabled
