How To Burn Downloaded movies from the computer

Hey guys just woundering if you can download a movie off limewire, kazaa etc. and then just burn it to a dvd or do you have to make it into an image(.iso) or is there a program to convert it too something. i heard people talking about this, i just never got into it. If there are any programs anyone knows that helps please tell me or show me how --Thanks
