convert lost.303.hdtv-lol.avi to DVD

can some1 post a link to a program that converts my avi files to a dvd-format so I can watch the last episode of Lost on my dvd player?

I prefer freeware or shareware

install xvid codec>google.

You might also want to download a HR or 720p version. The end result would be better quality video and 5.1 AC3 audio. Easier still would be to buy an MPEG-4/avi compatible standalone. That way you can burn 12 or so episodes per disc, no need to convert.

the file in question is a tv capture.

But I can watch the file in mediaplayer (Vista) so i guess the codec is installed? I have the ffdshow codecs or something like that

No I meant a MPEG-4/avi compatible player. Should point out though that most won't play anything with a higher resolution than 720x576. So 1280x720 is definatly out.
