How do I join 2 AVI files together for seamless playback?

I have a 2 disc dvd I want to back-up, but I'd like it as one file for playback, can it be done?

it can be done alright, convert to mpeg-2---> author with TMPGEnc DVD author adding both files to the same track. nice merge

lt columbo, will it make any difference that I already have them ripped to disc?will TMPGenc join the 2 avi files or will Ihave to rip them again?

you have the avi's on a disc, like a data disc?

ok, so you have 2 avi files on the PC. the best thing IMO to avoid audio sync issues is to convert them to dvd standard files with TMPGEnc.
