Hi, this is my first post.
I couldn't find anything on this topic so I started a new thread
I bought a Sony DVD player a few days ago (dvp-ns61ps) which also has divx playback. Anyway when I was reading the manual I came across this note about subtitles:
"you can change the subtitles if the file has an .AVI or .DIVX extension and contains subtitle information within the same file"
It sounds like they're saying that subtitle info can be added to a divx file, but it also talks about changing subtitles, which means it's not the same as hard-coding the subs straight to the video. Does anyone know how this works or how to add subtitle info to a divx file so I can choose it on my player at will?
For the record I've already tried playing files that have .srt file in the same folder and that didn't seem to work.
