Wierd Question: Position Title and Rate
Hi All,
I am kinda new to this board. Have found some really helpfully ideas and solutions relating to the world of video. I am a multimedia developer in a large interactive ad agency in Dallas. I work with a lot of different programs but mostly Flash and After Effects. I do most of the video production/post production (animation, compositing, special effects) with the exception of high end broadcast video, which we outsource.
Recently my supervisor and I were discussing the fact that we are getting more work that involves more involved video production. He wants to create a new department to handle the increased load. Here is my question. What would a video production house call this position title and what is the going rate to charge clients? I am hoping to get some feedback from those who work in the industry.
