I am having some major problem with my dvd burning. I have previously used it and burned back ups for movies and home movies both.. But now, every time I try with every software, it gives me error messages or refuses to let me into the correct files. I know with the movies some of it is copywrite issues.
but the captures from my Cannon zr 70 video camera refuse to burn on any software including nero , and sonic. It tells me both places it is an illegal format.
just concentrating on the home movie to dvd problem.. I dont understand why I could easily capture mpeg @720x480 and burn to dvd before but now nothing will work. I have even tried to burn it from media maker into an AVI file and have it transcode it but nothing is working, it takes hours before I get the message. It actually puts an mpeg file on my hard drive that I can access and view, (in some cases, but now media player is refusing to show the picture while playing audio). Nero will let me view it without missing frames(like it should be), but still after it goes through it all and tries to burn, i t tells me , incompatable format.... could it be something in my camera that changed>?
or possibly something that is on my computer that is blocking any kind of dvd authoring...I have a crack for x copy and have shrink.
I purchased a cheap version of something called Snap that ripps vobs to the hard drive, which works for that, and I can actually watch them, (so it is good for something)..
I have smart ripper that doesnt work , shrink doesnt work, nero wontburn anything (except data disks-which means the burner works), and x copy,....doesnt work.
any guesses, or anything I can try to discover the problem?
I need a lead to track this.
