    Nero : device not available

I am having problems burning with Nero after using DVD Decryptor and DVD Shrink. Seems to be happening with every disc now. Nero Info Tool recognizes correctly as does Device Manager. Media is TYGO2. I have burned many before successfully (maybe too many). Below is the log from Nero. Any advice would be appreciated.

    this looks bad

strange that it's identifying the drive and blank and then losing the drive

I've been having the same problem. I had to use IMG burn to burn World Trade Centre to disc.

Thanks Chewy. After using the Nero clean tool, I have had a few successful burns.

I am trying to work on minimizing the number of processes running. Is there a rule to follow on how much should be running without any apps working?

In my power user sticky in general computing I try to show how to set up a computer to run it's fastest/best. Jmet's sticky on msconfig is more about
fixing install mistakes. My approach is have nothing running, start your burn,
then experiment with some light multitasking

many people think that throwing extra ram at the problem helps and actually make the problem worse by allowing more apps/services to be running

then you have the problem of conflicting software that basically hoses your computer after being installed
