    Mini DVD Playback

I am having issues playing back DVD's created on a video camera. The drive is an LG DVD burner, and plays regular DVD's back fine. But when the Mini-DVD is inserted, it shows up as a DVD Camera, under D: drive.

Clicking on the drive reveals two folders. One says DVDcam and the other is the Video_TS folder. I put the Video_TS folder on the hard drive and tried to play it back via PowerDVD, and only audio is present. There is no video.

What is wrong? The mini-dvd plays fine in a stand alone player.

    Howdy!

It should play fine in your LG drive since the mini-DVD plays ok in a standard DVD player. That confirms the DVD is finalized so that its compatiable with standard DVD playback format.

I would suspect that the LG drive might have a firmware problem not recognizing the mini-DVD that has been finalized to follow the DVD standard, and that it is getting confused somehow. Check LG website for any firmware updates that may address this.

    Here..I will fix it!

      Hi

I had the same issue when I updated the firmwear in my DVD burner. I lost the ability to read them out of my DVD handycam after finalization.

Check that if you've updated recently
