    listing dvd titles

I was just curious if anyone had any suggestions on how to list your collection of dvds that you own. My collection continues to grow but i havent found a good way of keeping track of them. Didnt know if there were any web sites out there or free programs to help keep an updated list. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

IMDb has "My Movies" with several categories, including DVD, To Buy, & Must See. Since it lists titles more correctly & in a standardized format (moreso than most other sites), and it even shows titles that are not & have never been available on DVD, it's easier to make your list complete. I've done a few VHS transfers to DVD because the title hasn't been released on DVD yet, and I can still put them in my list there.

I also use Excel to keep track of what I have. It's easy to sort by any criteria I have entered, and I keep titles I have on one page, titles I want on another, & VHS on a third.

I have ~1,000 titles so far.

I don't have a need for a list, I build the back-up to a blank DVD-5 or DVD-9 to fit in a full size CD case, with disk cover, front, back, and spline pictures and verbal identification and stored in a DVD bookcase in A-Z order in the great room.

Really don't have a need to view them on the computer, and besides the TV screen is MUCH larger than the computer screen.

I use DVDTracker.com it was a pretty good site until they stopped updating their list. Now you have to edit manually. But it is still nice to store your collection online.
