    Enabling YV12 colorspace for ffdshow

In a channel on IRC about using avisynth with virtualdub, I was suggested to "make sure that YV12 is enabled for ffdshow to avoid needless changes in colorspace", but I don't get what it exactly means and how to do it.

Is it a command in avs script or does it refer to ffdshow control panel?

    Thank you,

You're after the "Output" section, not Avisynth; chances are YV12 is already enabled

Are we talking about using directshowsource() in AVISynth where ffdshow is used? Because that is the dshow decoder config.
