Hi Y'all experts in Digital Video Making...
Bet You never gotten into this problem before...
I've written before about some chrashing problems with MP42 vs DivX, and gotten some clever answers from khp (whatever that name stands for)
Now here's to You experts...
I've downloaded the Nimo Codec Pack and run it, and it looked like it worked great, until I tried to fastforward some movie I was looking at. The software I was using was BSPlayer, and I tried to skip to another place in the movie, let's say 2:34 min and then the audio was out of synch???
After I pressed the "Play" button, it took about 2 seconds to start the audio, so it got out of synch, really.and I've got an 933Mhz shit-intel processor, so it should work fine???
I tried this operation several of times, but with the same result. As I was whatching this movie LOTR I wanted to resume where I was left of, but couldn't do.
I am an MCSE myself, and always getting really pissed when something ****s up like this, so the first thing I did was getting the ****ing MS drivers out of my system, but that did'nt help, so I deleted mpg4c32.dll from the \System catalog, as long with the MPG4DS32.AX file, but that did'nt change my status...so what did??? well, I probably wouldn't say this but my AWE64 soundcard isn't brand new...so I put the sound acceleration down to the first level, and then it worked...
So here's to You all, if You've got an old soundcard, pull the acceleration down to the first level and it should work just fine...
