Anyone else have the problem of videos "stalling" when viewing on youtube, google, etc.? Seems like it happens everytime I go to one of those sites.
The "buffer" doesn't stay filled & then the video catches up with it & it stops. At that point I have to start the video over again. After a 1/2 dozen tries or so, I can just about watch the whole thing!
I could understand it if I was on dialup, but I have a 6 Mbit connection...
I haven't had that but sometimes when I download video clips and when I want to view them through the Windows Media Player, the clip is paused but the sound is running. I don't know why I can hear the clips while having a paused screen.
I hate You Tube. One time when I was a member, all my uploaded clips were deleted and I was told the reason was because of the copyright act and some of my clips were clips from my home movies. I e-mailed You Tube and asked them what the hell they were playing at and they kept missing my point and they babbled on about the copyright law with their terms and conditions. I can understand what they meant about clips ripped from DVD and TV broadcasts etc but my home-movie clips have nothing to do with the copyright law. If anyone owns the copyrights to those it's me.
What I couldn't understand is why they never deleted other member's clips. Most of the clips there are not from home-movies. There's so many clips there with other web addresses on to prove they were stolen from the web. It was as if You Tube had something personal towards me.
Go Fish is OK but not many people leave comments there as much as they do at You Tube.
sometimes I can sit there for 10 min., maybe more to view a 5-7 min. music video. Seems excessive to me.
Sometimes it's frustrating to wait for a Youtube video to buffer. The solution to this would be to download the video. Vdownloader is a freeware utility that downloads video in AVI and MPG formats. The advantage of using this utility is sometimes you can complete downloading the whole video when it's still buffering in the Youtube player.
The other advantage is once downloaded in the MPG or AVI format, you can view a full-screen version of the video in video players like VLC. Also you can use your AV converter to turn it into a DVD or VCD movie. It saves you all the painful waiting for the video to load and you can watch a video any time you like.
