Hook-up for Vice1000

I don't know how to hook up my Vice1000 to work. Its say connect the scart plug to the player [dvd]. Well you can't hook a scart plug to a dvd player/recorder. Nor can you hook a scart plug to a VCR. Is this Vice1000, for use in England only ? Or is there something I am missing ? I would appreciate instructions on how to hook up a Vice1000, say from VCR to DVD ? Thank You
