    suggestions on TV purchase please...

I have been given the task from my boss to research and suggest a TV for where I work. We currently have two NEC LCD's that have burned in. The problem is that the are on 24/7 due to their application. I have started doing some research on the net but wanted to see if anyone here has a suggestion. I know newer TV's have burn in reduction and pixel shifting but can't really find any models that specifically say that have these and don't know if it would even help with them having to be on 24/7.

    Howdy!

I would suggest LCD direct pannel units since these dont have as much chance of "burn in" as plasma and crt units do. Projection LCD units can also have burn in problems.

Perhaps reducing the brightness and contrast settings may help reduce burn in.

Since the units are on 24/7, I would look for a unit that is not loaded with a bunch of extras that wont be used so you can keep the costs down. Look for monitors instead of full blown TV recievers.

    Sony's are a good choice!

    Good Hunting!

    Here..I will fix it!
