DVD Burner Media Recognition
I have an NEC DVD+/-RW ND-6650A
It recognizes any and all DVD media including purchased movies, blank and anything I have burned.
However it does not recognize any other disc type including software discs to install any programs or hardware.
It worked fine when I bought the laptop - an Averatec AV3715-EH1.
One thing I did notice is it stopped working almost immediately after I burned some video to a DVD for the first time using Cyberlink products.
This laptop came with a program that allows me to restore my system to its original configuration when purchased.
I have restored it to the 'new' state thinking I did something to cause it. But it does not work as explained above.
Any help would be appreciated.
