    DVD copy quality

When I copy my homemade DVD video, does the quality degrade if I use the first generation copy instead of the original to make additional copies?
I remember that VHS quality got progressively worse if copies were made from copies. I would guess this isn't a problem with DVDs but I'm not sure.

    Thanks

DVDs are digital, so you can make exact copies that are exactly the same in every way, including quality.

The only time when you will lose quality is when your original homemade DVD was on a dual-layer DVD recordable (8.5 GB), and you want to shrink it and put it onto a single layer DVD recordable (4.7 GB), or converting the DVD to another format like DivX.
