I'm looking for some good animatted text software to do titles, credits, and all of that. Something I can add special effects to, or build my own. I'm really trying to get my videos to pop and look professional.

I downloaded the trail version of ulead 3D studio. Did a simple text with fire effect for a 10 second clip (300 frames). Took over 35 minutes to render to a video file (AVI). When played back, it was a bit pixelated in the effect and not real smooth, even at the 29 fps speed. I looked at Xara, but that appears to be more for web site graphics than anything, although it was very impressive. I ran the demo video files and you can sure manipulate 3d text. If I did the text with a avi background, it might look OK, but what I'm looking for is for the text to be on fire as in the 3D Studio, just a better quality. It looks computer generated with all the square pixels around the text, and the long render time is ridiculous. I'd like to get a program for under $100 if possible.Comment
