    Mpeg 2? Anyone? Please?

Can anyone please tell me if there is a way to convert Mpeg 2 files to the normal format. Like...avi, Mpeg 1 or something?

So I can burn them and be able to watch these movies I have on the DVD playa.
    I need VCD? SVCD?

    Please?

Before my children decide they are going to kill me.
    Spiderman is a MUST.

    Thanks in advance

MPEG-2 can be playable on a DVD-player. SVCD is MPEG-2-video. If you still need to convert it to something else you should open the video in DVD2AVI, save as project, use VFAPI to open it in TMPEGEnc or VirtualDUB/Nandub and save it in any format you like.

      Help?

Did I mention I was blonde?

Anyway. Thanks for the speedy response.

Here's the deal. I dont have a problem opening these movies through Power DVD.

I think it is a case of knowing which file to convert? I dunno.

I'm doing my best here. Or at least trying to.

I have those 5 files and one has the AVSEQ in it?

I think I have that thing, TMPGenc on here somewhere. I just have to find it.

Also. If MPEG 2 is SVCD? I can assure you we have tried all ways to get these two movies to play. Its not happening...unfortunately for me. The DVD player will play SVCD. I know this cause we got a copy of SW last eve and there is a little S in fron of the VCD thing on the DVD screen.

-Sighs- I just need a little help.
      Thats why I came here

I'm sure I can do this. I know I can. Its having the know how to begin with right? and someone to show the way?

      I type too much.

As for the other progams needed. Where could I find those?

      Thanks again.
I'll try not to be a pain
