    Total Newbie Question

I am trying to use FAVC for the first time.
And using the guide "FAVC Video to DVD Guide"
    The file is a MPEG4.
Here is a pic of the mediainfo for it.

When I try to generate the CD file it tells me it is unable to process the file and that generally this happens when Avisynth is not installed. Or a codec is not installed.
I have Avisynth installed and the mpeg4 video plays with VLC Media Player so I am assuming the codec is present.
Thinking there is a script I need to make for FAVC but not sure how or where to place it.
Anyone help before I ditch FAVC and try another program ?

Or AVI2DVD, can't see your mediainfo screen shot yet. That would have been more helpfull to provide you specific help.

VLC uses its own built-in codecs. Try installing Haali Media Splitter and ffdshow, if you haven't already.

On Night Tran's advice I tried DVD Flick.
DVD Flick made it a piece of cake.
Dang...I am finally getting this stuff !
The video came out so good...like WOW
Looks great on the TV screen.
And it was a recording from TV on my Radeon card.
Had some hiss which was probably inherent in the film itself.

SRC...will try AVI2DVD...so many things I wanna do.

I like Media Player Classic best but use VLC or anything which works.

I have a Radeon All In Wonder 9000 Pro card.
Pinnacle Studio 8 came bundled with the card.

Today was experimenting with the film Doctor Zhivago which I recorded to my HD.
When I record TV using the Radeon All In Wonder it stores it with the extension ".vcr" .
I have to use The Radeon program: "library" to !st convert it to MPEG2.
I can not find any other way to convert Radeon's ".vcr" format except by the program given by Radeon.

This is very time consuming but...OH Well...

So now it is in MPEG2 format and I made a movie of some scenes using Pinnacle 8 Studio.
Also very time intensive...my computer is running at only 1.1 gig
I need to tweak it up as I know it can run twice as fast.
But chose some scenes and created an avi movie.

So now I have an avi file that VLC only runs the sound on.
Media Player Classic runs it OK but choppy.
But DVD Flick gives me this error:

Is Pinnacle 8 worth using ?

          Seems OK so far.

          My new question is...
What is the best basic storage format...AVI ?
Where best storage format is not about space but only about quality and conversion.
