    Joining multiple .mov files together

    Hi there,

I have searched the site but haven't found much on joining .mov files together.
I'm trying to join multiple high quality .mov files together.
I have tried a couple of ways:
    1. Quicktime pro - I cannot seem to past one clip into another nor can I use the "save as" function because something was messed up when I tried pasting one clip into another.
    2. Quickeditor - well I tried for a couple of days to get it to work but it kept crashing when I "inserted" a clip into the movie.
    3. Avisynth w/ qtsource filter - I am not sure exactly what i'm doing, tried to follow a guide from another forum but to no avail.

    So.
I am hoping someone has some pointers or even a guide on how to join multiple quicktime files together.
I do not want to re-encode to avi because (1)quality isn't as good as the original .mov file (2) usually much larger file size.

    Thanks in advance.

    This might throw some light.
Do anyone know any program that can join mov files? I only find programs that join and convert at the same time. I want to have the files joined to one

      Thanks for replying Paglamon,

I've tried going through the prescribed method mentioned in the link.. however, i'm having a difficult time using the scripts...or perhaps it's a combination of all the processes involved.

I was hoping there was another solution or method out there...

If you don't care what format they are saved in... you can try a video EDITOR, such as Ulead Video Studio. You would just import both, put one before the other, and save the project.

You could export as .mov, or any other format, you might lose quality though.

          Incorrect Function

Just got Shrink 3.2 two days ago and so I know next to nothing about copying DVDs so please forgive what might be a most basic question.

To wit -- I have already successfully copied and burned two DVDs but on the third one Shrink stopped halfway and I received this error message:
"DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue, Failed to read file "E:\"
('E' being my dvd drive) Incorrect Function."

Can anyone tell me what this means and perhaps how to fix it?

          Thanks in advance,
          ___JimR

              Sorry about that.

I clicked one too many links and obviously ended up in the wrong thread. To be honest I can't figure out where I should go to ask this question. A key word search got zero results. I'll try again to find the right place.
