Ok, here comes a little rant with a request for help.
First of all, I have a problem compressing a DVD-Video that is on a dual layer disk (or DL .ISO) from ~9 GB down to a single layer ~5 GB.
Now before you moderators and lawyers get all up tight and close this thread, listen up! This is a privately owned video disk containing video from an event that my client owns all rights to and there for is not copy protected and does not contain copyrighted material. So don't tell me about rule #6 or #19! Yes, I have been trying to use that program that's "bad" which makes large DVD's smaller. So don't condemn that program or the people that use it unless they specifically mention trying to "backup" a copyrighted / copy protected video disc! It is a legitimate program with a legitimate use. Yes, please, close the thread and ban the user who asks why they can't copy Spiderman, but not the rest of us.
This disc legitimately has a problem with a invalid dvd navigation structure. I'd like some information on finding / correcting / or side stepping the problem and what programs I might be able to use. I'd prefer to hear about solutions involving freeware programs or simple fixes (not re-authoring). Thanks! I await your replies.
