hey guys im wonder if anyone can help me out....i looking at getting a sony vx 2100 but am concernd because everything now a days is goin into HD im not sure if its worth wiating to upgrade or what ..if i get a vx2100 is there a hd editing system to enhance the picture?im also looking for the best mac to use for alot of video editing and music downloads....any sagestions?

The Sony VX2100 makes some pretty pictures indeed. Tho not true HD.
As far as improving the video, well you really cant. Tho you will get some very good transfers from that camera to another medium.
Upscaling is probably the only thing you may be able to do with the video shot on that camera. But it wont improve it. Upscaling just makes the video bigger for larger screen resolutions. Basically streching it and re-constructing it to fit and look somewhat normal on the larger resolution.
If you want true HD camera footage, I suggest getting a true HD camera. By the time you spent finding everything you would want with the VX2100, and external gizmos to make it work with your editing suite, the money spent on all that, the price of the HD camera will be more in range of the VX2100 price. It may be benificial to just wait for the HD cameras to come down a bit in price.

what about the sony fx1 and the fx7 is the only real differance the fitting for a lense...i guess they are worth the extra 600 bucks?any sugestions on a mac?Comment
