Benq 1620

I recently got hold of a Benq 1620, rebadgered, is there any sites that still has firmware for a crossflash?

When I installed it my computer did not recognize it. Am working on it. If and when I get it I'll get back. Thanks for the reply.

Install as master on IDE 2, assuming IDE 1 is where you HD is connected. Make sure the jumper is set to master. Boot & if all is well, it should recognize new hardware.

How do you set the jumper to master?

look closely at the drive, they are marked

this is best done BEFORE putting the drive in your computer

I keep a small pair of bent needle nose pliers to change jumpers

that would be G7V9!

the B firmware will crossflash just like the benq 1655

maybe even a more durable drive than the 1655, mine still works after heavy use


slow down, don't get in a rush, boot into safe mode with drive empty to flash
