How do I make .AVS file?

Hello,

How do I make .AVS file without Gordian Knot? The only way I know how to do is using GK. I am not that good at typing in commands to make an AVS file cause everytime I type commands when it comes time to load the AVS file in VD it fails to load in and I forget the message I get. From other other threads the best bet is stay away from codec packs and GK is a codec pack. I really don't know what to look or search for.

An AVI Synth script can be made in Notepad. Just save it with the extention AVS. However, you need to know what you want to put in and what filters (if any) to run. The list of commands (together with a brief tute for beginners) are available at the AVISynth site.
