    Windows movie maker - what file is supported?

    I am trying to edit an mpeg file but windows moviemaker says the file is not cupported...

    Can anyone help me how to create a video for youtube?

      Maybe your mpg file is not cupported uh I mean supported....LOL ,I know it was a typo.
      If you're just using WMM to cut out and save clip no need, just try this,
      open .mpeg in MPEG Streamclip,and trim/cut out section and save(don't convert)..Now open your new saved .mpeg file in WinFF and save as FLV... check with MPC before uploading to Youtube. Try it,good luck!


      Or try Super, much easier..

        Are these 2 software free?
        Can I add text on my video using the above tools?

          Yes they are free, and if you want text you'll need an authoring program(e.g. DVDAuthorGUI or GUI for dvdAuthor...
          Try to keep things simple before getting into authoring tools,learn a bit first ok, good luck!
