Does anyone know an answer to this? What annoys me is when I install software and the audio is mostly under WAV that uses a lot of disc space and most of the photos are under BMP that also use a lot of disc space. Why do they do it? It wastes a lot of disc space. I thought of converting the audio to MP3 and the photos to JPEG but I thought I might mess things up where the links in the different pieces of software have the original file types mentioned at the end of a link.
One time I installed a piece of software that was massive and it was photo softwarer and all the sample photos were BMP and they were over 1GB. Just think how many MB's they would have been if the software creators used their brains more carefully. They must know we want to save as much disc space as we all can and they waste a lot for us. Very strange for words. It's as daft as buying a small house and overloading it with large furniture and having hardly anywhere to move.
Darren.
