video editing software recommendations

Just wanted to know some professional advice in regards of video editing software for a pc. I am familiar with Adobe premiere, but are their any others I should consider? Also, affordable ones to recommend?

1: ulead video studio [ easier to use ]
2: ulead media studio [ really good but not easy, obsolete and only works for xp]
3: Pinnacle / Avid Liquid Edition. [ hmm lets see u need to learn a lot then its good]
