Error code (cyclic redundancy check)

I keep getting the following error message when trying to copy and original disk
Data error (cyclic redundancy check)
The original plays ok in my stand alone DVD player and on Computer its only when I go to copy it using DveShrink I get this message and it is disk one in a four disk collection anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing it.
