Your disc is either too scratched or too dirty for your drive to read it. Try cleaning it first. -
I get that message sometimes when I'm trying to back up a brand new DVD. How could it be dirty or scratchy since its brand new?Comment

It just basically means there was a problem with correctly reading the data on the disk. There can be several reasons for this. Two of them have already been mentioned.My toy:
