The quality of LS don't compare to a hub printable disc that runs through a printer.

I like LS for the CDs that I compile, it is better than the hand written ones that I do. But if I was doing professional photos and placing them on disk, then I would use the printable disks. Looks more professional.

        Hi Shakey,

READ some threads regarding Pro's & Con's of Lightscribe, or Printing, or Labeling DVDs or CDs ... versus good old fashion "Sharpie" pen ...

In my opinion .. if you want to do just "few" Special one with LS ... fine ... but to do every CD and DVD ... IMO, total waste of Time & Money!

        G!

I was able to get a lot of light scribe cd and dvd for deep discount. So for me I do because I have them.

Most people will use a clear coat, on the final product. This will eliminate most fading problems.

Lightscribe looks more professional than a stick on CD label. But when I bought my LS Burner I didn't realise that LS could only print in monochrome.
Also if you want to print a picture it takes a long time. Unfortunately my present printer Cannon PIXMA 6600 can not print on the CD face.
