Korean Subtitles on Nero Showtime & WMP

My Nero subtitles worked ok on Nero Showtime on XP.. I have purchased media dedicated PC and loaded Vista and Nero Showtime I have the full version, and Korean Subtitles are all gardbed.

Help. I did enable Korean read/write feature.. Korean is ok when I surf the web

Is this on a DVD? Or an AVI? Does it play OK in your standalone player? Have you tried VLC Media Player?

If a DVD, load it in DVDSubEdit and examine the subtitles. Subpictures are 2 bit (4 colour), bitmap pictures which are compressed. If the pictures become mangled (I can't imagine how this could have happened), so do the subtitles.

Korean Subtitles

This is AVI file with *.smi files as subtitle files. Some are Dvix encoded. The subtiles are not bitmaps like DVD files.

Is this Vista thing or Nero thing. I want to try it on WMV but there was a way for WMF to install forent characters

You may need to convert the subtitle to SRT format - try that. Wouldn't think it was a Vista issue.
