I'm new to this and not terribly digitally literate. For that reason excuse me if I haven't posted this in the right place but I don't really understand what a lot of the topics mean.
I was recently given a HD video recorder which I use just for family type videos. It came with Picture Motion Browser software which works fine for viewing videos but is limited in terms of editing.
I also, coincidentally, purchased a new laptop which came with an OEM version of PowerDirector 5 ('PD5'). From my limited research it seems that this is not the latest software for video editing but it should be perfectly adequate for my modest needs.
My only issue is that when I import my videos into PD5 the pictures come in without any drama but the audio doesn't. Can anyone tell me what I have to do to get the audio to come with the pictures?
