One thing you have to do when upgrading to sp3, with out a clean istall, all pop up blocking software has to be turned off. Sp3 installation will never finalize. The upgrade will revert to the original state before the upgrade install.

1) So, are you recommending I go and upgrade to SP3?

2) Is IE7 any better (more secure or whatever) than IE6.0? Becuase I am still on IE6.

3) What is the catch with installing IE7 before I upgrade to SP3? Any conflicts or ...?

I have been using SP3 all the way through the RCs & never had any problems with it. The story on IE7 is, (this might have been fixed), if you installed IE7 before SP3 & you wanted to uninstall it down the road, you could, but apparently if you install IE7 after installing SP3, you couldn't uninstall it.
