    NERO 6 - Weird Noise

    Hi there:

I am not sure, if this has been discussed before.
I have the NERO 6.6.1.15 program.
It used to work great, but now whenever I make my own movie and split it in between to delete certain parts, the new part makes this very annoying noise, when I click on it to watch. The noise lasts for about 3-5 seconds at the beginning of each and every separated part. This problem/noise is there even after burning the DVD. I did not download any updates/newest version because I am not sure, if I will lose my work that I have in NERO after the downloads.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Sincerely,
    Adry

Not sure what would cause it but you may want to search this forum:

This forum is meant to act as an unofficial support forum for Nero products, including Nero Burning ROM, Nero Recode, Nero Digital and other Nero products. Only topics specifically related to Nero products are allowed here!

It's more Nero intensive than here. Most on this board burn with Imgburn. I used Nero 6.x in the past but I didn't get into cutting and splicing with it.

This is a hard one. Many will disagree with me but I have to say I quit with Nero ages ago because it caused me too many problems. I'd never forget when it cost me some important files and the Nero Player can't handle all videos.

Please be sure to back-up all your work even when you've put it to DVD encase of any future problems like now and encase the DVD disc gets damaged somehow. All the time you have your MPEG files backed-up, you can always re-edit and reburn. I do that. I never erase my video files, no matter what. The same with DV tapes, I always keep all my footage on the tapes encase I need to re-import, re-edit and re-burn.

this is an interesting issue here as well because sometimes when I run footage through any editing software, I get a quiet high-pitched sound at the end of a cut. I'm wondering it that is what you get where it might be your editing software causing it. Does this sound appear for a few seconds now and then where your cuts were or does it only happen in one place?

Another thing, are you doing your home movies with the DVD mode or CD Video onto DVD? I never use CD Video because that can cause problems at times.

I hope you get things sorted. I know how you feel because I have so many things of my own to sort out and it's driving me nuts at times.

          Dear dazuk1972:

Thanks so much for your time!
I noticed that the noise is there only when I put the transitions between the separated parts of the movie. As soon as I take them out, the noise disappears also...
I may have luck, when I download a newer version. I have tried different movie maker programs, but I did not like any as much as I like Nero. I have also had many problems with is, but I just keep getting back to it .

Thanks so much again and have a great weekend!

          Sincerely,
          Adry

            You're welcome, mate.

Try the update and see what happens. It might work. I understand your headache because I have my own even though I'm glad to help others like yourself if I can in the meantime. It's like us all being on the same war wagon and we're all almost out of ammo.
